BLOW A BUBBLE!
Are you struggling to think of something different, fascinating & fun for all the family to do? Well come along to our glassmaking studio & you can blow a glass bubble-just as the Romans did it! Visit our studio at the Coalport China Museum, Ironbridge & learn some amazing facts about this ancient craft and watch our glassmakers skilfully apply vibrant colours & gold & silver leaf before blowing & shaping beautiful vases, perfume bottles & paperweights. THEN YOU CAN HAVE A GO! Throughout the school holidays we are offering visitors a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity of having a go at this amazing ancient craft by blowing a molten glass bubble. So come along, have some fun, and do not forget to bring your camera! Timed sessions take place during most weekdays. A small charge applies & all children under fourteen will receive a free hand made glass memento! Minimum age 5 years.
